I you're looking for a place with character in Ghent look no further - unique hotel 1898 Post is located in the charming building, which served as city's Central Post Office. Everything was designed by architect Louis Cloquet in 1898 and built in 1909. Four years later building hosted a World Expo and continued to operate as Post Office until 2001.
Today, more than 100 years later, you can enjoy your stay in the boutique hotel located on the top two floors. All rooms are naturally mail-themed! You can stay in The Stamp (20 sq m), The Postcard (25 sq m) or The Letter (22-30 sq m). All of them have historic feeling, but we recommend octagonal room placed in the tower with amazing 360 views of the city. Top pick!
