Hotel is placed in a former office building built in the early 1900s in Art Nouveau style. During World War II, it was used as residence for Soviet soldiers. As many other hotels during Communist Era hotel fell into disrepair and was converted into apartment building. Interesting fact: portrait of the founder Mr. Gresham still can be seen on the hotel’s façade.
