Whole place is actually built with ice cut straight from the nearby Torne river. Room temperature is around -5C, but there’s no need to worry – your bed will be covered with reindeer hides, warm clothing and winter sleeping bags, so whole experience is really comfortable! There are no doors, but rooms have curtains instead. Outside of the hotel you'll find are communal changing rooms, toilets and saunas.

Restaurant was named the best restaurant in Kiruna and one ranked in top three restaurants in Swedish Lapland by White Guide - Scandinavian Restaurant Guide. Michelin-trained head chef Alexander Meier serves here local delicacies like reindeer, moose, Arctic char and bramble berries. Or you can choose one of specially crafted dining experiences – chef’s table, ice dining or wilderness dinner.

Jukkasjärvi lies 200 km north of the Arctic Circle and this location is great to watching Northern Lights, so make sure to book one of the night trips on snowmobiles or...dog sleds!

To get here simply take one of daily flights from Stockholm to Kiruna Airport (around 90 minutes), and then rent a car, book a taxi or direct transfer from hotel. There are also train connections from Narvik (Norway) or Luleå (Sweden).

Time to book that lifetime experience!
