If you’re looking for adventure and friendly atmosphere unique Pinetree Lodge might be the place just for you. Hotel is located 150km north of the Arctic Circle, just on the bank of the Saarijarvi Lake surrounded by the pristine forest. Hosts Sara and Johan (who grew up in this area) will do thir best to accommodate you, and introduce you to the beauty of the Arctic Circle.
Hotel includes Brown Bear Bar (with actual huge bear inside!) which looks like a great place to meet your fellow travellers and share all the experiences you had during the day. Restaurant serves locally produced food and shares Lake view with sauna and relax room.
You can book a room here, or if you’re looking for more privacy try one of the wooden cabins. Adventure seekers can book Wilderness Cabin (without electricity and water) or Aurora Hideaways – glass igloos located 10 minutes from the lodge, designed specifically to watch Northern Lights.
Days here will be busy too as you can choose from dogsedging, horse-riding, mtb riding (including fatbikes), snowmobile safaris and of course Northern Lights trips. Top place in the area.
