What’s more – apartments are set within the only privately-owned castle in Georgia, built in 16th Century and used as the residence for Persian Shah for Eastern Georgia. Then it was converted to convent (where nuns live). Then during communism, it was converted to ordinary apartments. Today property is refurbished, and you have a chance to sleep between medieval walls.
