Right when Napoleon's wars ended and Austro-Hungarian Monarchy took over Istria, everyone thought that hard times are coming. But one man took decided to turn it into an apportunity. His Name was Meneghetti, and he decided to buy some land 500 meters from the stationing garrizon of 6 thousand soldiers. Soon he was able to sell his crops and offer unusual hospitality. Business was good, as more houses and barnes were built and vineyards and olive grooves were planted. Soon everyone on Adriatic Coast heard about this unique hotel and estate. But after armies and owners left this place was left to itself.
200 years later Miroslav Plišo and his wife, Romana Kajfež found this unusual place and turned it into unique hotel, where you have a chance to stay. There are 40 rooms to choose from, located in villas and residences, renowned restaurant and spa with pool. It's a perfect place to relax, where you can just relax and taste the wine from the Red Land.
