As first shovels hit the ground on the hotel construction site there was something unusual. An ancient mosaic. For the next year 160 people worked to uncover 5 historic layers, where you can see traces of 13 different civilizations dating back as far as 3 Century BC. Luckily hotel investors agreed to put some extra 90 million USD to create one of the most unique hotels in the world.
Architects used four times more steel than Eiffel Tower to create 200 rooms. Each one is hanging above 17,000m2 area of uncovered artifacts, Eros statue (200AD), and the largest ancient mosaic in the world. Simply breathtaking.
